Tabitha de Bruin

Tabitha de Bruin is the history editor at The Canadian Encyclopedia. She holds a PhD in history from McMaster University, with a dissertation on the health of soldiers in 18th century North America. A longtime editor at the encyclopedia, she has also taught undergraduate history courses at McMaster University and Memorial University of Newfoundland. Her research interests include military and naval history, the history of health and medicine, and early sports history. A regular contributor to the encyclopedia, her work has also been published in scholarly journals. She has also appeared in documentaries on the History Channel (Canada) and Smithsonian Channel (USA).
