Books in Canada
Books in Canada (fd 1971) was a book review magazine distributed by subscription and sold in book stores and newsstands throughout English-speaking Canada; before it went on hiatus in early 2008, it appeared 9 times a year. It was founded by its first editor, Val Clery, as the result of a report on the promotion of books in Canada that Clery prepared for the Book Publishers' Council.
Books in Canada published extensive reviews of current books, together with interviews with and profiles of authors, and special columns on first novels, children's books and other topics. It was published by Bedford House Publishing Corp and had a circulation of 12 000 copies per issue.
