The Wendy Michener Award was presented at the Canadian Film Awards from 1969 to 1978 in recognition of outstanding artistic achievement in Canadian cinema. It was created in honour of Wendy Michener (1935–69), a highly respected film critic for the Globe and Mail until her untimely death. She was the daughter of former Governor General Roland Michener, who also created the separate Michener Awards for Journalism in her honour.
