Richard Bladworth Angus, banker (b at Bathgate, Scot 28 May 1831; d at Senneville, Qué 17 Sept 1922). Trained in a Manchester bank, he immigrated to Québec in 1857 and joined the BANK OF MONTREAL and became its general manager in 1869.

Richard Bladworth Angus, banker (b at Bathgate, Scot 28 May 1831; d at Senneville, Qué 17 Sept 1922). Trained in a Manchester bank, he immigrated to Québec in 1857 and joined the BANK OF MONTREAL and became its general manager in 1869. He then served as vice-president of the St Paul Minneapolis and Manitoba Railroad, 1879-83. A business associate of George STEPHEN, he was one of the founding directors of the CANADIAN PACIFIC RAILWAY and a member of its executive committee, 1881-1922. He played an active role in CPR affairs and acted as an important link with the Bank of Montreal, of which he was president 1910-15.
