Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited, with head offices in Oakville, Ontario, is a major manufacturer and distributor of automobiles in Canada. First incorporated in Ontario in 1904, the Canadian company was reincorporated in 1911.

Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited, with head offices in Oakville, Ontario, is a major manufacturer and distributor of automobiles in Canada. First incorporated in Ontario in 1904, the Canadian company was reincorporated in 1911. In the 1960s, following implementation of the CANADA-US AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS AGREEMENT, Ford's manufacturing and assembly operations were modified to permit longer production runs of fewer products. The company manufactures automotive safety glass and, in partnership with Essex Manufacturing (formed in 1978), engines and casts. Automobile and truck assembly operations are located in Oakville. The company also imports vehicles from its US parent. In 1994, it had net automotives sales of $3.1 billion, total automotive assets of $72.7 million and over 7500 employees. Ford Motor Company of Detroit, Mich, holds 94% of the shares.
