Donald Graham Smith, swimmer (b at Edmonton, Alta 9 May 1958). A breaststroke specialist, Graham Smith became the youngest Canadian male to win 2 national titles in one meet, winning both the 100 m and 200 m breaststroke events in 1974.

A breaststroke specialist, Graham Smith became the youngest Canadian male to win 2 national titles in one meet, winning both the 100 m and 200 m breaststroke events in 1974. At the 1976 Montréal Olympics, he was on the 2nd-place 400 m medley relay team, and in 1977 and 1978 he set world records in the 200 m individual medley over the 25 m course. At the 1978 Commonwealth Games, Smith won an unprecedented 6 gold medals - in the 100 m and 200 m breaststroke, the 200 m and 400 m individual medley, and the 400 m freestyle and medley relays. Later that year he won the 200 m individual medley at the World Aquatic Games. Smith received the Lou Marsh Trophy as Canada's outstanding athlete for 1978 and was honoured with the Order of Canada that same year.
