Todd Cherniawsky, film art director, set designer, model maker (born at Edmonton 24 Jun 1968). Todd Cherniawsky received an honours diploma in architecture from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton (1988) and a bachelor of fine arts in art and design from the University of Alberta (1993). He received an MFA in production design from the American Film Institute in 1996.

Currently based in Los Angeles, Cherniawsky has worked on many high-profile films, primarily in the United States; however he has also been involved with several Canadian productions, including the cult-horror films Ginger Snaps, Ginger Snaps 2: Unleashed and Ginger Snaps Back: Prequel. In the US, his talents as art director, set designer and digital model-maker have been featured in major Hollywood releases such as Inspector Gadget (1999), The Hulk (2003), Polar Express (2004), War of the Worlds (2005), Beowulf (2007), and Ocean's Thirteen (2007). In 2009, he was hired to be a supervising art director on the James CAMERON blockbuster Avatar, notable for its $230 million production budget and ground-breaking visual effects. Since then, Cherniawsky has added work on Alice in Wonderland (2010), Splice (2010), In Time (2011), Sucker Punch (2011), Zero Dark Thirty and Oz: The Great and Powerful (2012) to his rapidly growing resume.
